BOXING: CONTACT DRILLS (intermediate level) Enhance your training experience and elevate your proficiency in Boxing through our Contact Drills! Our intermediate-level programs in Boxing and Muay Thai are designed to serve as a transition between pad work and advanced level sparring. The training program aims to refine striking techniques for precision and accuracy, distance management, defensive capabilities, and control. Comprised of choreographed contact drills, students learn to transition the striking combinations acquired from pad work into practical application. Students who progress into our intermediate-level program will learn to apply their techniques in Boxing with a live partner, honing their ability to read and react in real-time offensive and defensive scenarios. Learning outcomes include: - the importance of maintaining strong defenses, - overcoming involuntary body responses while under pressure, - understanding distance management, - strategic movement and positioning to create angles, evasive - footwork and counterattacks, - effective clinching techniques, - how to create openings in their opponent's defense. MUAY THAI: CLINCHING TECHNIQUES (monthly workshops) Clinching is a grappling technique in Muay Thai which allows fighters to control their opponents in close range while setting up powerful strikes and takedowns. Our monthly Clinching workshops will delve into the intricacies of this essential skill, learning how to effectively manage the distance and leverage your body mechanics for maximum impact. During these workshops, students will explore various clinching techniques, including how to control your opponent's neck, arms, and body posture. By mastering these elements, fighters establish dominance in the clinch and dictate the pace of the fight.
